Scenic Japan 9 Days – 8 Nights

Day 1: Arrive Tokyo

Upon arrival at Narita International Airport, you will be met at the custom exit and get transferred to the city. Tokyo, the capital of Japan is a bustling metropolis.
Overnight in Tokyo.

Day 2: Tokyo

After breakfast, proceed to Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal for the Tokyo City Tour. Visit Tokyo Tower – Climb to the main observatory for a panoramic view from Japan’s second tallest artificial structure. Make a short stop at Imperial Palace Plaza the official residence of the Emperor of Japan, visit the Asakusa Kannon Temple – the oldest and most popular Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Visit Nakamise Shopping Street, a promenade section called Nakamise-dori is basically both sides of narrow, paved entranceway to the temple crammed with tiny food and souvenir shops. Drive through Ueno-a laid-back area famous for its museums and zoo.

Day 3: Tokyo-Kamakura-Tokyo

Post breakfast; proceed to Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal for the Kamakura Tour. Visit the Great Buddha and Kotoku-in Temple and view the 13.35 m (44 ft.) tall, 121 ton statue of Buddha. Tour the historical Hasedera temple reflecting the beauty of the seasons. Visit one of Kamakura’s most ancient and significant shrines – Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Enjoy lunch at Japan’s grand scale Chinese district. Later visit Hokoku-ji temple – featuring a beautiful bamboo grove. Enjoy Matcha Green Tea Experience at Jomyo-ji Temple. Drive across Yokohama Bay Bridge to get back to Tokyo.

Day 4: Tokyo-Mt Fuji- Hakone

After breakfast proceed to Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal for the visit to Mt. Fuji. At 12,388 feet Mount Fuji or Fujisan, is Japan’s highest mountain. On arrival at Mt. Fuji visit the Fuji Visitor center where you can see cultural art dedicated to Fujisan on display. Driving up to Fujisan’s 5th station at 7607 feet (2305 meters) be inspired by the beauty of the Japanese landscape. After lunch enjoy the crisp mountain air while cruising on Lake Ashi. Catch sweeping views of Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, Izu Peninsula, Izu Islands, Hakone National Park, and more while climbing up and down the mountain on an aerial cableway.
Overnight in Hakone.

Day 5: Hakone-Kyoto-Nara-Kyoto

After breakfast check-out and proceed to Odawara Station on your own to take the Bullet train to Kyoto. Later visit the Great Buddha (Todai-ji Temple) and view the 13.35 m (44 ft.) tall, 121 ton statue of Buddha. Splurge at Nara’s biggest souvenir shop – Nara Nagomikan, which sells a vast variety of food products, sweets, and goods exclusive to Nara.
Overnight in Kyoto.

Day 6: Kyoto

After Breakfast proceed for Kyoto City Tour, visit the Golden Pavilion with two floors covered entirely in thin layers of pure gold and detailed architecture incorporating three distinct styles of shinden, samurai, and Zen. Browse the world’s longest wooden structure, housing 1,001 life-size statues of Buddhist Kannon deities dating back to the 13th century at Sanjusangen-do Temple. Later view the city of Kyoto from the hilltop Kiyomizu-dera Temple and take a sip from the Otowa waterfall flowing from beneath the main hall, known to grant wishes to those who drink it.
Overnight in Kyoto.

Day 7: Kyoto-Hiroshima-Kyoto

You will be transferred to the train station to take the bullet train to Hiroshima. Hiroshima is the principal city of the Chugoku Region. When the first atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, the city became known worldwide for this unenviable distinction. After the war, great efforts were taken to rebuild the city. Visit the Miyajima Island and see the World Heritage Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine. Post lunch take the ferry to Miyajimaguchi and see the sights in Hiroshima City. Visit Peace Memorial Park/Museum. Drive by Hiroshima Peace Memorial, and head to JR Hiroshima Station to take the bullet train back to Kyoto.
Overnight in Kyoto.

Day 8: Kyoto – Tokyo

Post breakfast, the day is for leisure to enjoy the city or indulge in some shopping. Later, board the Bullet train to Tokyo. Arrive at Tokyo Station and get transferred to the hotel in Tokyo. We recommend you opt for the Tokyo by Night Tour (optional). Drive over the Rainbow Bridge and visit the futuristic waterfront city. Drive through Akasaka and Ginza, great nightspots with great night views. Enjoy a fantastic night view from 250 m above sea level Roppongi Hills.
Overnight in Tokyo.

Day 9: Tokyo

After breakfast at the hotel, the morning is free to explore this magnificent city and do some last minute shopping. Transfer to Narita International Airport for your flight back home.
