9 Days (Delhi – Jaipur – Ranthambore – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra)
Day 01: Arrival Delhi
On arrival Delhi, you will receive a warm welcome at the International Airport by our representative and will be transferred to hotel. CHECK-IN 1400 hrs. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi – Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur. On arrival Jaipur, transfer to hotel. Evening free to visit the colourful markets of “The Pink City – Jaipur”. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Jaipur
After breakfast, visit Amer Fort. Enjoy the Elephant Ride from down to hilltop. Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort Palace. Inside the Fort, visit the Jag Mandir or the Hall of Victory, famed Sheesh Mahal with glittering mirror pieces. Enroute to Amber Fort, you will have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Winds. Afternoon visit Pink City including Maharaja’s city Palace, the former Royal residence part of it converted into a museum. One of the major attractions is Armoury Museum. Later visit the Jantar-Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur – Ranthambore
After breakfast drive to Ranthambore. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon free to enjoy nature your own.
Lunch, Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Ranthambore
Early morning proceed to Jeep Safari to view wildlife i.e. Sambhar, chital, chinkara, nilgai, wild boar and common langur, provide a spectrum of prey range for the resident tigers and their co predator leopard & jackal. Sloth bear & hyena also live in this unique habitat of dry deciduous forests. Lunch, dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06: Ranthambore – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra
After breakfast, drive to Agra en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri – 40 kilometers southwest of Agra, this magnificent fortified ghost city was constructed by Akbar in 1659 to honor the Chisti Saint, Sheikh Salim, who foretold the birth of Akbar’s son, Jahangir. The city is a combination of Hindu and Persian architecture, and is in a remarkable state of preservation. It is a fine example of a Mughal city at the height of the empire’s splendor.
On arrival in Agra, transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Agra – Delhi
After breakfast visit the world famous Taj Mahal & Agra Fort. Taj Mahal (Friday closed), described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, it was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal, made out of white marble and took 22 years to complete. What makes the Taj unique is its perfect proportions, distinct femininity, medium of construction and ornamentation. Later visit Agra Fort, construction of the massive red sandstone was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565, though additions were made up until the rule of his grandson, Shah Jahan. It is an imposing structure with walls of red sandstone almost three kilometres long. It houses halls of public (Dewan –E- Aam) & private (Dewan –E- Khas) audiences.
Afternoon drive to Delhi and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Delhi
After breakfast, visit a combined city tour of Old & New Delhi. In Old Delhi, visit the Raj Ghat – memorial to Mahatma Gandhi & the Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. Drive past Red Fort – a marvel in red sandstone (Closed on Mondays) and Chandni Chowk – an opulence market of perfumes. Later visit India Gate (memorial to the Indian army soldiers who died in` the World War I) & drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (formerly the viceroy’s residence) and Parliament House. Also visit Humanyun’s Tomb & 12th century Qutab Minar, gracefully hand-carved for its entire height of 234ft, and the iron pillar, which has withstood the ravages of time and not rusted even after 1500 years. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09: Delhi – DepartureDay
Breakfast at hotel. CHECK-OUT NOON.
Later transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.
