10 Days (Delhi – Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra – Orchha – Khajuraho – Varanasi)

Day 01: Arrival Delhi / Drive – Jaipur

On arrival Delhi, you will receive a warm welcome at the International Airport by our representative and drive straight to Jaipur. On arrival transfer to hotel. CHECK-IN 1400 hrs.
Evening free to visit the colourful markets of “The Pink City – Jaipur”. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Jaipur

After breakfast, visit Amer Fort. Amber is a classic, romantic Rajasthani Fort Palace. Inside the Fort, visit the Jag Mandir or the Hall of Victory, famed Sheesh Mahal – a room with all the four walls and ceiling completely embedded with glittering mirror pieces. Enroute to Amber Fort, you will have a brief photography stop at Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Winds.
Afternoon visit Pink City including Maharaja’s city Palace, the former Royal residence part of it converted into a museum. One of the major attractions in the museum is the portion known as Armoury Museum housing an impressive array of weaponry-pistols. Later visit the Jantar-Mantar, which is the largest stone and marble crafted observatory in the world. Situated near the gate of the city palace, the observatory has 17 large instruments, many of them still in working condition. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri – 40 kilometers southwest of Agra, this magnificent fortified ghost city was constructed by Akbar in 1659 to honor the Chisti Saint, Sheikh Salim, who foretold the birth of Akbar’s son, Jahangir. The city is a combination of Hindu and Persian architecture, and is in a remarkable state of preservation. It is a fine example of a Mughal city at the height of the empire’s splendor.
On arrival Agra, transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: Agra

After breakfast visit the world famous Taj Mahal & Agra Fort. Taj Mahal (Friday closed), described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, it was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal, made out of white marble and took 22 years to complete. What makes the Taj unique is its perfect proportions, distinct femininity, medium of construction and ornamentation. Later visit Agra Fort, construction of the massive red sandstone was begun by Emperor Akbar in 1565, though additions were made up until the rule of his grandson, Shah Jahan. It is an imposing structure with walls of red sandstone almost three kilometres long. It houses halls of public (Dewan –E- Aam) & private (Dewan –E- Khas) audiences. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05: Train Agra – Jhansi Drive Jhansi – Orchha – Khajuraho

After an early breakfast, transfer to Agra railway station to board the train for Jhansi. Meeting & assistance and drive to Khajuraho via visiting Orchha. Orchha’s grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time & a rich legacy to the ages. The palaces and the temples built by its Bundela rulers in the 16th and 17th century retain much of their pristine glory. On arrival Khajuraho, transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 06: Flight Khajuraho – Varanasi

After breakfast, proceed for city tour. In the temple architecture of India, Khajuraho complex remains unique. One thousand years ago, under the generous and artistic patronage of the Chandela Rajput kings of Central India, 85 temples, magnificent in form and richly carved, came up on one site, near the village of Khajuraho. Later on time transfer to Khajuraho Airport to board the flight for Varanasi Airport. Upon arrival Varanasi transfers to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07: Varanasi

Early morning enjoy boat tour on River Ganges to watch people bathing in holy river and cremation sights. Return to hotel for breakfast.
Later proceed for city tour. Varanasi: The eternal city is one of the most important Pilgrim sites in India and also a major Tourist Attraction, situated on the banks of the sacred Ganges. The name Varanasi derived from two rivers – The Varuna & Assi. It is a Great Centre of learning and Civilization. It is also known as Kashi & Banaras. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08: Flight Varanasi – Delhi

After breakfast, transfer to Varanasi Airport to board the flight for Delhi. On arrival Delhi, Warm welcome at the International Airport by our representative and will be transferred to hotel. CHECK-IN 1400 hrs. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09: Delhi

After breakfast, visit a combined city tour of Old & New Delhi. In Old Delhi, visit Raj Ghat, – memorial to Mahatma Gandhi & the Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India. Drive past Red Fort – a marvel in red sandstone (Closed on Mondays) and Chandni Chowk – an opulence market of perfumes. Later visit India Gate (memorial to the Indian army soldiers who died in` the World War I) and drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan (formerly the viceroy’s residence) and the Parliament House. Also visit Humanyun’s Tomb & the 12th century Qutab Minar, gracefully hand-carved for its entire height of 234ft, and the iron pillar, which has withstood the ravages of time and not rusted even after 1500 years.
Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10: Delhi – Departure

Breakfast at hotel. CHECK-OUT NOON.
Later transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination.
